Excellent week at JACD…
This week has been interesting, challenging and long, but all said and done we’ve achieved lots. Firstly I went along to two business networking breakfasts, one at Falmouth on Thursday and then another in Truro on Friday. Met some interesting people at both. The Falmouth meet was very good and the view from the massive breakfast lounge was stunning! The early morning was sun pouring in through the window and the black pudding was delicious. Truro is still growing and was a bit quieter. Off to Newquay next week, show my face and see what’s going down.
Joanna finished some really nice mock-ups for NCi’s corporate brochure. Four different shapes to choose from, A4 lanscape, 220 x 220 square, A4 portrait and another 170mm x 297 landscape version. We’ve gone for a screw bound spine with stainless steel screws. This looks really amazing and gives the brochure quite an industrial feel.
Well under way with the Easylearn website which took me a little time to get the style right but is now looking spot on. The colours are young and vibrant yet simple.
Gloveman have asked us to design a new synthetic glove box. We’ll be starting that next week. We designed a little freebie site banner for Tony at Arcol who has also asked us to produce their corporate brochure for 2010. We’ll be discussing the details over the next couple of weeks.
Joanna is busy working for Easylearn. She is turning little cartoons into animations. They are in turn are used in interactive learning programmes for young children.
Well I’m off to an early morning swim now and I’m going to see if my latest paintings have been framed so I can drop them into the gallery in Truro. Then a spot of lunch and maybe a bit of gardening in the sun this afternoon.
By the way England looked pretty tired last night! Very disappointing, how much do they get paid?
