JACD 1st email marketing campaign

Over the last couple of days JACD decided to try a little email marketing campaign. We wanted to generate some new business, but at the same time have some fun. So we devised a plan that was influenced by a video posted on the net a long time ago. It made us really laugh out loud. www.makemylogobiggercream.com and is a good insight into how a lot of small businesses seem to approach the advertising of their product or service.

Jo and I thought up a little campaign about ‘Magic Marketing Cream’ and went to work. We bought a legal and verified list from an online marketing company called marketing guru. Opened an account with Mailchimp, which is an online mailing service that allows you to send up to 500 email per day free. Sounds Great! The only expense was buying the list which costs £250 for 1000 names.

We then targeted a number of sectors and then personalised each email to suit. For instance with Schools and Colleges we decided to say: Simply rub the Magic Marketing Cream into your Acedemic Aches and Pains and watch them disappear overnight! Also altering what services the Schools and Colleges might need from us. Plus we gave a link to our website and and explained that you can sign up for our monthly Magic marketing Newsletter.

We’re going to keep a note of all the work we do each month and then include it in the newsletter in a fun way that’s not too serious. The idea is to encourage customers to want to join in and maybe, over time, actually enjoy being included in the newsletter.

Well we’ll see how it works and JACD look forward to sending out the first newsletter at the beginning of August. Please support us if you feel encouraged and please let us have any ideas or comments so that we can listen and learn.

If you want to sign up to our Magic Marketing Newsletter follow this link and fill out the form and you’ll be included.
