JACD Update on work in progress!
Joanna has finished her first month at JACD. Things are going really well and we;re both kept busy.
At the moment I’m working on a fab logo for a young business lady, Emma Sutton, who is starting her own business called The Design Listing. The names speaks for itself and the logo is well underway and looking really funky. I’ll post some pics at the end of the week, so watch this space.
We’re also working up a website for Papers Past, only in the initial concept stages at the moment, so it will take a week before we finalise the design and layouts.
Just arranged a meeting with NCi Technologies to discuss the design and production of their website. We meet next Tuesday for an initial meeting to discuss changes and a new direction to for their existing website which needs a bit of re-vamp. We also have a corporate brochure and a few other smaller jobs on the go for them. Sarah Mead, the new marketing director, recently appointed by NCi, is a joy to work with and makes life so easy for us by giving us clear brief on every job.
My oil painting has slowed down a bit because we recently moved home and I haven;t sorted out anywhere to paint in comfort without wrecking the house. I think it’s going to be the garden shed for a few months until we get the planned extension underway. I do have a painting ready to go, which is of Trelissick. I went there on a Spring day and tried to paint in the sunshine for about 5 hours. It was lovely to be in the elements but got a bit cold and too many distractions. I went back and took a photo from the same spot and I’m gonna re-paint the canvas from a print that I made.
Off to the jam tonight at the William in Truro. Haven’t really played a lot since the band split a few months ago. Confidence is fading as I forget most of the stuff we used to play. So I’m struggling to find another band to lay in.
Anyway that’s enough for now will update more at the end of the week!
