JACD have just completed the brand design for the Buttercup Tea Rooms, Penzance…

Ian & Jennie came to us via our website (which is now ranking front page for graphic design or designers Cornwall) and asked JACD to come up with a modern brand identity for their traditional tea rooms high street Penzance. I did hundreds of little drawings of buttercups, but in the end we chose a more abstract version to ad a splash of colour. Once the typeface is chosen, we take it into photoshop and blur it, ad some artistic filters which give the logo it’s unique character. The next stage is choose a suitable colour scheme that sits sympathically with the high street position allowing the Tea Rooms to stand out. The refurbishment will take place over the coming months, now that they have exchanged contracts. Now that the logo has been approved we will be switching our skills to the exterior design and signage, menus and stationery, so watch this space and we will keep you updated.
